Description
The Denver Metropolitan Affiliate of Susan G Komen for the Cure® was founded in 1993 to carry out our promise — to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures. The Affiliate continually strives to meet this mission through education, grant making, advocacy and fundraising.
The Affiliate serves 19 counties including Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Clear Creek, Denver, Douglas, Gilpin, Jefferson, Larimer, Logan, Morgan, Park, Phillips, Sedgwick, Summit, Washington, Weld, and Yuma. Seventy-five percent of net proceeds raised by the Affiliate stay in this 19 county service area to help community members. Twenty-five percent of net proceeds support breast cancer research.
