The purpose of Sunmart Animal Rescue Team, Inc. (SMART) is the prevention of cruelty to animals, the relief of suffering among animals and promoting education on the humane treatment of animals. It is the policy of the organization to provide humane care and treatment for animals needing protection in the area served by the organization; to return lost animals to their owners; to seek suitable homes for animals without owners; and to provide euthanasia when necessary.
