Sun Coast Osteopathic Foundation, formerly Sun Coast Hospital Foundation, is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to the osteopathic philosophy of healthcare. The Foundation's roots were first established more than a half-century ago when our Founder, Dr. Alan J. Snider, opened Sun Coast Hospital, a non-profit, osteopathic healthcare facility in Largo, Florida.

Our renewed mission reflects Sun Coast Hospital’s original Statement of Purpose to conduct patient educational programs and activities related to the promotion of health and to help fund the care of indigent patients from our community.

We are dedicated to the advancement of medical education, research and patient care in the field of Osteopathic medicine.

We award grants to qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations serving the residents of the City of Largo and surrounding communities.

We provide scholarships and financial assistance to persons pursuing education in Osteopathic Medicine.
