A K-8 public charter school in Cashiers, North Carolina. The educational philosophy is based on four priorities: school as community, curriculum with coherence, commitment to character, and climate for learning. Summit is a North Carolina Honor School of excellence. County, state and federal monies fund part of the school's operational budget. These funds are not allocated for facilities, special programs, transportation, and school lunch. Therefore, the school must raise funds annually to cover the costs of these needs.
