Description
Mission: Summer Scholars is an innovative, community-based youth development initiative to promote literacy and academic success among disadvantaged elementary students in Denver Public Schools.
Purpose and Goals: The overarching purpose of Summer Scholars is to equip low-income, academically-struggling elementary students with the skills necessary to attain academic success. Year-round programming, offered in the summer and after-school hours, builds students’ literacy and social skills.
