Description
Student Assistance Services (SAS) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation registered with the NYS State Office of Charities Registration, and licensed by the New York State OASAS. SAS provides substance abuse prevention and early intervention services, programming, and training in schools, residential facilities, and communities.
SAS is the developer of the Residential Student Assistance Program (RSAP) and “Project SUCCESS” (Schools Using Coordinated Efforts to Strengthen Students). The programs are recognized by the US Department of Health and Human Services Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Center For Substance Abuse Prevention as effective evidence-based programs designed to prevent and reduce substance abuse among students 12 – 18 years of age, and are highly rated by SAMHSA's National Registry of Evidence Based Programs and Practices.
Student Assistance Services provides certified training in the “Olweus™ Bullying Prevention Program”.
