Description
Stone School Cooperative Nursery is a preschool for 3 & 4 year olds living in Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti and the surrounding areas. Our school with its play based curriculum, dedicated teachers and involved parents with cooperative spirit has served the community for many generations, and has been an Ann Arbor landmark for many decades. Our one room schoolhouse was built in 1911, on the site of and using the stones of the original Stone School built in 1854 that was tore down. It has been a cooperative preschool since 1955. The school was added to National Historic Register in 1995.
