Description
STITCH is a network of women unionists, organizers, and activists building connections between Central and North American women. STITCH supports women in both regions who are organizing for economic justice.
In Central America, STITCH provides support to women workers before, during, and after union organizing campaigns by carrying out training exchanges and leadership development workshops. STITCH supports women’s development so they may organize new unions or take increased leadership roles in existing unions.
In North America, STITCH gives advocates the information and opportunity to impact corporate and trade policies that affect workers in Central America. Additionally, STITCH educates women about the importance of solidarity and how globalization impacts us all. STITCH brings workers from Central America to the United States to exchange ideas and strategies to build the Union and Women’s Movements in both regions.
