Description
SOYP is a 501(c)(3) non-profit after school youth program that mentors, empowers, and tutors at-risk and disadvantaged youth living in a very rural and geographically isolated area in the Kiamichi Mountains of northern McCurtain County. SOYP is dedicated to countering drugs, alcohol, and other negative influences on community youth by offering healthy, alternative activities, blending education, recreation and moral studies. SOYP is the only program in this area that offers after-school support services in a safe, nurturing environment, providing homework assistance, computers, balloon workshops, special activities, educational outings, learning incentives, and Biblical teaching.
