Stage Aurora Theatrical Company, Inc is one of the latest additions to the arts landscape in Jacksonville, FL. Established in 1999 and artistically active since 2001, Stage Aurora is a response to a lack of professional opportunities for local artists, especially African-Americans, and to the shortage of options for the audience to explore theatre as an alternative entertainment in the city of Jacksonville and North East Florida.

The theatre’s mission is to enlighten the mind by way of the Arts through the African-American experience and it strives to become the leading theatrical institution in the State of Florida focusing on African American culture. Stage Aurora brings the arts to the local community through its Main Stage program featuring dramas, plays and musicals and Educational Outreach activities that offer several educational programs for children and youth to experience live theatre and music.
