Description
St. Vincent de Paul of Seattle/King County prevents eviction, hunger, utility shut-offs and more facing our neighbors in need.
We are known for our home visits to the poor, community thrift stores and food and meal programs which provide more than 1 million meals annually. In addition St. Vincent de Paul has case management outreach to homeless people and ex-offenders in the Central District of Seattle. More than 87,000 hours of volunteer service are given annually. Last year we helped 67,000 neighbors in need.
St. Vincent de Paul is celebrating its 90th anniversary year of serving the needy in Seattle/King County. The Catholic lay-run charity helps the needy in 144 countries. In Seattle and King County, the Community Information Line (211) refers more people to St. Vincent de Paul than any other charity for basic needs help.
