St. Michael’s opened its doors in 1958 under the aegis of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America as a non-profit adult home situated in a bucolic residential neighborhood of Yonkers. Since its inception, the Home has not received any subsidies from any governmental agencies and is self-sufficient. Therefore, we continue to depend greatly on the donations received from supporters to provide an outstanding level of care our Greek Orthodox elderly. Over one third of the Home’s expenses are covered by these contributions and without them the quality of life would be greatly diminished. Our mission is to provide our elderly an environment that caters to the continued growth both mentally, spiritually, emotionally, and physically.
