Description

St. Matthew's sits in the heart of inner city Charleston, South Carolina, where our neighbors range from the affluent to families struggling to survive. Members recognized this need and undertook a mission to serve God's people in our community by connecting families with available resources.

The center offers comfort, guidance, and encouragement to enhance the lives and well-being of God's people, as we continue to serve Christ from the heart of the historic city. Volunteers are at the center of our programming. Community members as well as St. Matthew's members are welcomed as volunteers. All programs are lead by staff who train and direct volunteers to provide quality service to participants. To learn more, see programs listed on the left.

Mission: The Outreach Learning Center serves those in need by encouraging unity, respect and self-reliance through job and life skills training, technology instruction and English Language acquisition.
