St. Louis HELP, a health equipment recycling program, was established to create a tri-state resource for individuals in MO, IL, and KS, of all ages/race with permanent or temporary disabilities to borrow new & used medical equipment at no cost. People who need medical & assistive devices, but are unable to obtain the equipment through insurance or other means may receive that vital equipment, free of charge. We help the environment by keeping usable equipment out of landfills. Devices include manual wheelchairs, power wheelchairs, scooters, canes/crutches/walkers, shower chairs, toilet seats, recreational devices, and hospital beds. We accept donations of nearly every type of AT device. Once equipment is cleaned and any repairs are made, the device is stored and is ready for requests from people with disabilities or on their behalf by family members, support staff and friends. Equipment overages are given to other charitable organizations for distribution in Africa and South America.
