Description
Working with children in grades 5 - 7 at the St. Jude School (Inwood). Super Saturdays meets one Saturday per month from 9:30am - 12:30pm. The organization's objective is to provide a safe, nurturing environment where the kids can be exposed to individuals and experiences to which they may not normally have access. The structure is a mix of small and large group activities, with ice breakers, arts and crafts, education games, and organized athletic activity. At the start of each year, the children and mentors are split into four teams that remain consistent throughout the year, allowing children to form additional bonds as a team and get consistent focused attention from a set of group mentors.
