Description
Established in 1745, St. John's has been a rich source of spiritual enrichment, pastoral care and outreach to those in need for over 265 years in the best tradition of the World-Wide Anglican Communion. The congregation of St. John's is characterized by their welcoming nature, their faithfulness to the Gospels and the determinination with which they pursue their mission "To Know Christ and To Make Him Known". The Church has a full-time Episcopal School for ages 2 through four of 100 students.
St. John's recently welcomed its 24th Rector, The Rev. Dr. Allen K. Shin. Fr. Shin was formerly a curate and assistant priest at St. Mary's the Virgin in New York City and recently completed a nine year assignment in the United Kingdom where he served as an assistant priest at All Saints, London and five years as the Chaplain of Keble College, Oxford University.
