The St. Hyacinth Basilica School Family is committed to high academic standards, integrity, respect, and service toward others; and as Catholics, loving God with our whole heart.
St. Hyacinth Parish and School have been lighting the way to a brighter future since 1894 by the Congregation of the Resurrection under the leadership of Father Vincent Barzynski, C.R. Provincial Superior. The Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth were invited from Poland to come teach what once use to be a predominantly Polish community. St. Hyacinth Basilica School has served the area of Avondale-Logan Square for over 100 years. Now, for over 100 years students from all backgrounds, religions, and socio-economic statuses have been enriched and continue to do so because our teachers impart basic religious instruction while preparing worthwhile citizens for the Church, Community, and the Country.
