Description

Our purpose is to provide a coordinated multidisciplinary team approach to child sexual abuse and serious physical abuse cases in the Illinois counties of St Clair, Monroe, and Randolph. Representatives of several disciplines decide collectively about the investigation, prosecution and treatment of specific cases. The approach recognizes the special need of child victims and focuses on increasing the efficiency and effectivemess of all involved entities, minimizing the stress created for the child, increasing the availability of treatment & counseling for the child victims, child witnesses, and their families and holding abusers accountable. In the past seven years, over 1500 children have received forensic interviews at the CAC.
