Description
St. Catherine Residence provides safe, supportive and affordable housing to women with limited income. All residents pay rent and are striving to improve their lives and become self reliant. Over 200 women are served each year and over 80% report reaching their goal when leaving SCR. Over 40% have behavioral health issues, the average stay is 2 years and 84% have incomes under $15,000 per year, the residents range in age from 17 to 78, and come from all walks of life, religions, ethnic groups.
SCR provides services for pregnant women and new moms, women with dual diagnosis of homelessness and behavioral health issues and addictions. Workshops and presentations are scheduled in arts, finance, employment search, health issues and community resources.
