Description

SBA of NENY was founded in 1993 by a group of parents of children with Spina Bifida and interested community members. The chapter was formed to provide education, support and current information to individuals with Spina Bifida and caregivers. Over this sixteen year period, the chapter has grown from a small group of families to a mailing list of over 200 families. The main catchment area for the chapter is the 11 county region surrounding the Capital District of New York State. In addition, we respond to individuals beyond our 11 counties with support, information and education.

Paid membership and/or financial support are not requirements for receipt of services from the chapter.

As an affiliated chapter of the national Spina Bifida Association, the organization is known as SBA of Northeastern NY.
