Special Olympics Kansas, Inc. is the Headquarters office for Special Olympics within the state of Kansas and is an accredited program of Special Olympics, Inc. The Mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training, education and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for all children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing support to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community. In addition to we aim to improve quaity of life through our Healthy Athletes and Global Messenger initiatives.
