Founded in 1994, Spay/Neuter/Now is a non profit, grass roots organization dedicated to reducing the pet over population in the North Country.
Spay/Neuter/Now (SNN) began its work by introducing a voucher program to help persons on low, fixed income and seniors with the cost of spay/neuter surgery. To date, 6,800 cats and dogs have been “fixed” through the voucher program and the Neuter Commuter.
Voucher surgeries are done by veterinarians who accept SNN vouchers, subtract them from the cost of the surgery and the client pays the difference. It translates into a discount on the procedure.
