Mission of the Education Foundation
The mission of the Southwestern Community College Education Foundation is to augment existing student financial aid opportunities, contribute to the aesthetic quality of the institution, provide instructional resources and facilities designed to maintain state-of-the-art technical classroom capabilities, and provide for professional development of faculty and staff.
Academic Excellence of the College
Southwestern Community College is fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, North Central Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Institutions of Higher Education, and the Iowa Department of Education. Classes at Southwestern are kept small, by design, to provide the best educational opportunities possible. Quality support services for students are in place to ensure academic success.
