Description
Southwest CDC improves the quality of life in Southwest Philadelphia through economic development and its support services.
Southwest CDC is an organization that provides services in four areas:
•Self Sufficiency programs address the issues of people who are in a crisis situation and need help with utility assistance, budget energy counseling, and water conservation.
•Community Development help people with first-time home buyers counseling, default and delinquency counseling, credit history & anti-predatory lending counseling and education, community organizing, neighborhood beatification, voter registration.
•New Start Family Resource Center programs help people have a healthy lifestyle and offer an after school program, summer camp, strengthening family relationships.
•Economic Development – Woodland Avenue Revitalization Project and Southwest Economic Conference – Strategic Initiatives, publishing the Southwest Globe Times weekly neighborhood newspaper.
