Description
We are Arizona’s oldest and largest nonprofit AIDS service organization, serving 70 percent of Arizona’s nearly 13,000 infected residents, in addition to the more than 25,000 at-risk individuals affected by HIV and AIDS. Founded in 1990 as Phoenix Body Positive, Southwest Center was created by and for people infected with and affected by HIV and AIDS. Today, we are the only agency in the nation to combine prevention and education programs, health and wellness services, and research and clinical trials in a single location. Our vision is to continue to lead the fight against HIV and AIDS through ongoing outreach and education programs; reducing infection; improving quality of life; and contributing to worldwide research. We provide the largest nonprofit free HIV/AIDS testing and counseling program in Arizona.
