Description

The SouthSide Film Institute is dedicated to preserving and promoting the art of the independent filmmaker, providing the patron of the arts freedom of choice, and showcasing the community culture of south Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

The "SSFI" offers filmmaking workshops, for all ages, with international experts, as well as free monthly screenings and filmmaking competitions.

The Institute is volunteer-run, not-for-profit, and produces an annual festival each June along with events throughout the year.

"SSFI" is supported by memberships, local businesses, foundations, corporations and state agencies.
