Southern Truth and Reconciliation is a consulting organization founded in Atlanta, Georgia in 2003.
S·T·A·R assists local communities to adapt the truth and reconciliation model made famous in South Africa to their own issues of social justice, civil rights, and human rights.
S·T·A·R responds specifically to groups in the U.S. South dealing with the legacy of lynching and related forms of racial/ethnic violence.
As resources allow S·T·A·R also addresses other social injustices and human rights issues.
