Description

We are an all volunteer, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization, dedicated to providing emergency and public service communications to our community. We were incorporated in the State of Nevada, NRS 82 on January 31, 2002 and received an ARRL Charter Affiliation on July 23, 2005. Our goal is to establish a continuous communications link between the cities of Las Vegas and Reno that is independent of commercial power or phone lines. Using only emergency power, ham radio operators prove they can send and receive messages in many forms when other infrastructures have failed. In order to obtain clear, effective communications, repeater sites must be located and equipped in order to establish and maintain clear lines of communication.
