The Southern California Library Literacy Network (SCLLN) supports library-based literacy service providers who assist adults and children is improving their reading and writing skills, and in attaining greater self-sufficiency and a better quality of life for their families and communities. Formed in 1986, SCLLN represents nine counties, 49 municipalities, and approximately 470 library outlets. Annually, 10,000 adults receive literacy instruction from SCLLN programs.
