Mission Statement

Since 1994, The South Fork Breast Health Coalition, a nonprofit, grassroots organization located on the eastern end of Long Island, has worked with local healthcare, government, business and breast cancer organizations to help:
• Identify the causes of breast cancer through studies and surveys.
• Educate women about the importance of the three tools of early detection: mammograms, proper breast self-examinations and annual clinical exams with workshops, health fairs and screenings.
• Enable breast cancer survivors to live as fully and completely as possible after the trauma and emotional upheaval caused by a diagnosis of breast cancer with our free medical, personal and household services.
