South County Community Services (SCCS) is a United Way 501 (C)(3) non-profit human service agency serving the rural population of southern Kalamazoo County.
SCCS assists with food, financial, Rx, and clothing needs. The agency provides Adult Programmig, PAD (Progam for Adults with Disabilities), a Youth Summer Recreation Program, a Backpack Program, and referrals to appropriate agencies for programs and services not available locally. SCCS also offers a variety of hosted programs and meeting space for local organizations, the Vicksburg Village Council, and numerous self-help programs.
Encompassing 38% of the geographic area of Kalamazoo County, the service area of SCCS includes the townships of Schoolcraft, Brady, Prairie Ronde, Wakeshma, Pavilion, and Climax and the villages of Schoolcraft, Vicksburg, Fulton, Climax, and Scotts.
