Description

Solid Ground will be transitional housing for families with children, elderly or disabled. The elderly or disabled will stay with us while we help them procure their social security benefits and move into appropriate housing for their situation. We will be the only facility in Macomb County where an intact family, including the father will be able to stay with us for 18-24 months while we help them to re-establish a solid housing situation. We will also be able to take single mothers or fathers with children. During their stay, we will assist them with their finances and credit status, facilitate job training and skill sets for improvements in employment opportunities and assist with life skills training and financial guidance in preparation for eventual home ownership. We will continue with an ongoing follow up program for 12 months and provide reinforcement and support for the training that they received.
