Building Peace on a Foundation of Health!
Solace is building a network of communities across America willing to accept Afghan children ages 7 to 12 in need of medical, dental or optical care. While many procedures can be simple by US standards, they just can't happen in Afghanistan. Most Solace children are recommended by our own sons and daughters on the ground in AFG. Lt Jeremy Dittmer, USMC expresses his gratitude for the work of Solace in these words... "The people here are so grateful when we help their children that they treat American Marines, soldiers, sailors and airmen as family, which in many ways protects us more than body armor. All in all, thank you. Not only is this a very generous cause that any member of any society would agree with but it is huge difference to the people in Afghanistan. Better yet it makes my Marines and I feel safer and that we are closer to ending this war and leaving this country a peaceful place."
