Description
Socorro Cooperative Nursery School aspires to provide a safe, warm and caring learning environment for children ages three through five and their parents/caregivers. It is our goal to help children grow physically, emotionally and socially at their own pace. SCNS believes that by providing an environment to develop a child's self awareness, emotional understanding & intellect, the greater an opportunity to form a well-integrated human being. The education, happiness, & well being of each child are of the utmost importance to the staff and parents/caregivers. Here at SCNS, each child is given time and support needed to develop social skills, build friendships, develop creativity, and build self-confidence. This encouragement is in the form of play through Self Selection, as well as organized learning thru Circle Time. Our philosophy allows children to learn through play by exploring their environment at their own developmental pace.
