Description

The mission of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul is to help the needy. Through our all volunteer staffed Conferences which are located at 24 Parishes within the Catholic Diocese of San Jose, we have been providing services to residents in Santa Clara County in California that are in need for over fifty years. Members of our Conferences either visit those in need in their homes or interview them in Parish based Outreach Offices. During our last fiscal year Conference members made over 7000 person-to person visits and had over 3000 telephone only contacts with our clients and their families. Help is provided by supplying references to services available within the County, food from either Parish based food pantries, rent and utility help based on the need of the client, their situation and available resources. We also have an Auto Donation program from which funds are raised for those in need.
