Description

We are a non-profit organization in Portland, OR, USA. We were founded by professional snowboarder, Travis Parker.
Our goal at Snowdays is to empower youth through snowboarding. We take underprivelaged, underserved youth up to Mt. Hood and teach them how to snowboard.
About 65% of the children we take up are coming from single parent families living below the poverty line. The single parent home environment is usually the result of incarceration or death. These kids are surrounded by a lot negativity, such as drugs, gang involvement, and violence. We give them a healthy outlet for everything that just seems to go wrong in their lives. Abot 95% of the kids are African American.
We are a group of dedicated 100% volunteers, every aspect of this charity is non-profit. 100% of donations are used directly for the kids.
