Testicular cancer will work its way up the torso and can spread into the lymph nodes and vital organs. According to the National Cancer Institute there will be an estimated 8,820 in new cases, 300 more than in 2013, and 380 deaths in 2014.
Awareness and education of testicular cancer and steps for self-examination are not readily available to our demographic. High schools are encouraged to provide this life-saving information however it is not mandatory.
