Testicular Cancer Foundation
About Us: Testicular Cancer Foundation provides education and support to young men to raise awareness about testicular cancer, the most commonly diagnosed cancer among males ages 15 – 35. TCF supports families of testicular cancer patients and shares its resources with the medical and healthcare communities, schools and various young men’s groups. Problem: Testicular Cancer is the most common cancer diagnosed in males 15-35 but it’s 99% treatable if caught in its early stages. If left unchecked, it can spread to other parts of the body. Testicular cancer will work its way up the torso and can spread into the lymph nodes and vital organs. According to the National Cancer Institute there will be an estimated 8,820 in new cases, 300 more than in 2013, and 380 deaths in 2014. Awareness and education of testicular cancer and steps for self-examination are not readily available to our demographic. High schools are encouraged to provide this life-saving information however it is not mandatory.
