Silent Hands was started in 2003. The mission of Silent Hands is to provide help to people who are in crisis caused by loss of employment, divorce, abuse, illness or widowed and don’t necessarily fit into the need criteria of other charitable organizations.
Silent Hands is a local non-profit Christian organization committed to helping local families in times of crisis. The organization is not affiliated with any church or religious group. Checks are not issued to an individual, but are written to pay for rent, car loans, funerals, food, medical expenses, etc. Silent Hands also works with other community resources to help each family obtain additional assistance, including job training, clothing and locating a place to live.
98% of every dollar contributed to the Silent Hands organization is passed on to local people in need. The Board of Directors and client services is made up of volunteers dedicated to raising money to help local families in times of crisis.
