Description
Sierra Forever Families is a private, non-profit agency that focuses on finding and nurturing permanent homes for children. Founded in 1983, today, the agency has placed over 2,000 children in permanent homes. Sierra believes that every child deserves a loving home.
At Sierra, there is no charge to adopt a child waiting in long-term foster care.
Sierra Forever Families is a California Non-Profit Public Benefit Corporation governed by its Board of Directors. Sierra is licensed by the State of California and is a fully accredited member of the California Alliance for Child and Family Services.
Sierra is licensed to provide foster care and adoption services in twelve counties: Amador, Butte, El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Sierra, Solano, Sutter, Yolo and Yuba. These services are offered from our centers in Sacramento, Nevada City and Auburn.
