Description
We were incorporated in the state of Maryland in 1993 to comfort and counsel bereaved families, educate the general public about risk reduction and safe sleep, provide referrals, and publish and distribute the English and Spanish editions of the "SIDS & Infant Death Survival Guide" book and "Dancing on the Moon," a picturebook to help children through grief. We also raise funds for bereavement support, education, and medical research. We raise funds for and donate cribs and crib sheets to such programs as the Infants at Risk program of Prince George's County through the national Cribs for Kids program. We also go into Prince George's Public Schools to talk to teen parents and pregnant teens about SIDS risk reduction and to give them educational materials such as brochures and back-to-sleep newborn t-shirts.
