Description
Purpose: To engage in all charitable, scientific, literary & educational purposes allowable as a 501(c)(3) & to promote & advance activities directly or by contributions & to receive, maintain, administer & apply funds for such purposes. Chamber programs supported by donations to the Foundation include:
TEACHER SUPPLY DEPOT, Shoals educators shop for free from new & used school supplies & teaching aids
SUMMER TECHNOLOGY INSTITUTE FOR EDUCATORS, career education for K-12 educators who learn about various technical careers, so they can better advise their students & relate their lessons to real-world work applications
CHOICES(r), an interactive seminar for 8th graders to help them better understand the lasting impact of their choices in education & other areas
SHOALS CAREER DAYS, two career fairs for 8th & 11th graders to talk with employers
YOUTH LEADERSHIP SHOALS, educates 11th graders about various aspects of the Shoals & encourages them get involved in their community
