Description

Shiva’s Center recognizes the significance of the Human-Animal Bond & offers pet loss counseling, a safe haven for lost &/or injured animals, educational resources relevant to the emotional needs of humans & their animal companions, & veterinary training programs aimed at sustaining & promoting veterinary specialty medical services within our County. Center Goals: To make pet loss & grief counseling services available, free of charge, to anyone in our community who is struggling with the loss (or anticipated loss) of their companion animal; To provide safe, emergency housing & medical services to lost, abandoned &/or injured domestic & wild animals within Santa Barbara County 24/7; To educate the veterinary medical community as well as the community at large about the Human-Animal Bond; To promote specialty medical veterinary residency training programs to ensure that state-of-the-art medical care remains available for animals within the Santa Barbara community.
