Description

The Shine for Scott, Inc. is organized for charitable, scientific, and educational purposes. Specifically, our mission is to decrease colon cancer mortality by raising moneys to fund basic scientists ans clinicians for translational research into novel, combinatory therapies targeting colon cancer; to fund an educational program to teach individuals in the central Savannah River Area (CSRA) how to prevent colon cancer; and to fund a screening program that will provide individuals in the CSRA, between the ages of 25 to 50, with life saving colon cancer screenings. In addition, we will help to soften the burden by providing financial assistance for at least one individual between the ages of 25 to 50 in the CSRA and at least one individual on the coastal Savannah Area who is being treated for colon cancer
