SHEM Center for Interfaith Spirituality is a place where the sojourners of all spiritual paths and faith traditions, and the spiritually homeless, are welcomed. SHEM Center provides a sacred space where the prayer, meditation, rituals, and wisdom of the peoples of the world can be experienced and reflected upon. SHEM Center honors and embraces the truth as it appears in the teachings of all faith traditions. Activities include programs where participants can experience and reflect upon the prayer, meditation, rituals, and wisdom of the peoples of the world. Retreats, workshops and other presentations that provide opportunities for participants to have more than verbal exchanges about the spiritual beliefs and practices of other peoples. Since people experience spiritual practices in a direct and personal way, SHEM Center offers the opportunity to come to a place of genuine respect for what may be different from or similar to one’s own tradition.
