Description
We are a very small desert community in San Diego County. We provide our residents with a Kids Club for educational/enjoyable youth activities; a Community Center which is gathering place for meetings, fundraising and local church services; and a Volunteer Fire Department. The fire department provides fire & medical assistance for a very large surrounding area of our Valley. We have been certified as a Red Cross Emergency Center. We provided emergency services/shelter during the San Diego County Cedar & Pines fires of 2004 and more recently the Angel Fire in 2007.
We must do fundraising to pay on-going operational expenses. We are all volunteers so there are no personnel or administrative costs.
