Description
The Shelter Connection is a 501(c)(3) volunteer organization at the Town of North Hempstead Animal Shelter. The organization's mission is to improve the quality of life for dogs at the shelter and increase adoptions through training and socialization. Secondary missions are public education about spay/neuter programs, shifting the perception about shelters and dispelling the myth that shelter dogs are damaged goods.
