SHARE (Self Help And Resource Exchange) is a program that empowers people to be self-sufficient and strengthens relationships and communities by encouraging volunteer service. SHARE is a long-term, preventative solution that builds food security for families and individuals. Through SHARE, people can receive food packages worth $35-$40 for only 2 hours of volunteer service and $16. The food packages contain frozen meats, fresh fruits and vegetables, and other items. SHARE is open to everyone. There are no restrictions. SHARE works because of its high level of participation and its devoted volunteers and host sites. SHARE serves Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
