Shakespeare Festival/LA is a nonprofit, community-based theater company committed to producing theatrical productions of the highest artistic quality that are geographically, economically and aesthetically accessible to all.
SFLA’s annual Summer Festival presents twenty-four evenings of professional, union-contracted, critically-acclaimed performances of Shakespeare’s plays that artfully blend images and forms reflecting Los Angeles and its diverse cultures.
Will Power to Youth is a comprehensive arts-based youth development, literacy and employment program for disadvantaged youth ages 14 - 21, living at or below the poverty level.
Will Power to Schools is a two-day, in-service training initiative for middle and high school teachers throughout Los Angeles County who learn innovative methods for teaching multiple literary skills through performance-based strategies that complement their existing curriculum.
