Description
We bring the classics back into the classrooms of at risk youth by professional development for the teachers and care-givers. We create an environment of "play" where handicapped and able bodied students rely on each other to mold a production of Shakespeare's "Midsummer Night's Dream" and "Romeo and Juliet". We bring children and parents together in a young interactive literacy program called "Off the Page and On the Stage" We have free family festivals throughout the year. And we mentor students, who for reasons of lack of funds or social status, into the unions for jobs after they graduate from high schools.
