seicho is Los Angeles-based 501c3 NPO with a mission to promote the creativity and experience of underserved populations. We currently work with homeless and at-risk youth in Hollywood via shelters MFP (www.myfriendsplace.org), LAYN (www.layn.org) and Aviva Center (www.avivacenter.org) and expanding to work with other groups in 2012.
We have produced multimedia gallery shows and a music showcase in conjunction with a CD they wrote/ recorded. seicho is currently developing more viral projects and installations to promote their visual art.
Additionally, we run a weekly sewing workshop at MFP where we fix broken items and help the youth alter clothes. We are expanding to a more educational program and partnering with the Sewing Arts Center in Santa Monica.
seicho is a growing organization, eager to share the talents of underserved in unique and unexpected ways. We would be happy to discuss in more detail!
